hey was wondering at what hp/torque level are 31spline billet axels rated to? can a 35spline full spool be bought for the BW diff or does it stop at 31? i know lowey has run 8.90 with these axels so i know they can hold ALOT of power ect but wondering just how much what other work should be done to the diff? i will be running boxed lower arms and adjustable uppers with a full spool and 31spline axels also, how do the strange axels compare (hy-tuff and ss/st) to moser? there a little cheaper then moser but seem to still be very strong cheers Troy

A bit off topic but I was always told by blokes on here that boxed lower arms were only worth it for mild street applications and that once you moved into serious territory you were better off with stock arms. Not sure why, just what everyone seems to believe. Any ideas? I'm sure you could get a 35 spline spool made to suit.

that doesnt sound right there going to twist lik nothing else and break under serious torque/power being stock so you would want to weld material inbetween so they cant ill look into the 35spline spool for the BW but id say 31 will do me fine if i had the money tho, id go tubular lower arms, coilovers, adjustable uppers, tubs, 9", the works but i dont have a spare 4K lol

Check the link man, everything is listed there and if you know certain specs, it can calculate what type of axles you need. http://www.moserengineering.com/Pages/axletech.html

If ya ever gonna go to all the effort with doing a nine inch. Look into using landcruiser/patrol diffs. Plenty of spare parts, plenty of aftermarket parts and they are superstrong from the get go... LSD's in them seem to work well too...

The thing is though, 9" diffs are easily available to suit Commodore whereas Pootroll/Cruiser diffs more than likely aren't. I think you'll also find that the 9" has 10x the aftermarket support too.

I got 28 spline billet axles from McD Bros $695, took 3 weeks from USA and they freighted them to my door for free (which was a surprise, as I was meant to pay) They don't have bearings or studs. I got 10 studs for $20 from Holden and bearings for $30pr from another source.
