Hi all, i was just wondering, im after a ball park figure on how much it would cost for the following respray on my vl. * I have 3-4 litres of jet black acrylic paint *Theres a few small dings on the car, some small rust spots on the car, all i want is the car sprayed in acrylic jet black, and the bottom half in asteroid silver. What sort of price am i looking for this type of job? If so, the sanding and stuff can be done, its the small spots of rust that ill have a problem with. thanks. SYDNEY PEOPLE ONLY.

no point going half ass on a paintjob mate. Acrylic is pointless. pay the money, get a sweet job and you will never go back. especially in black dude, needs to be spot on!!

well mate all show cars i mean show cars are resprayed in acrylic yes acrylic the reason being it has alot of shine an you can buff it an brings out a mad look, but the problem with it you must always buff it to keep it up an in 1 to 2 yrs max you must respray the car again. the advantage with 2pac is it will last alottttt longer like 10 yrs maybe more if professional done it an if taken care of an still brings out the nice finish if done propely but is alot more costly. also mate black will show every ding in the car unless your a very good beater, change color alot of mad new colors out there, but thats your choice.

ACRYLIC PAINT = no one uses it, no one has booths for it, u cant use a normal spraybooth it dries to quick when you spray it = dry spray = horrible ****ty pain in the ass for the spraypainter to do it, looks like **** especially for a respray. You need some open shed with a fan at the back of it. If you want it done in acylic find some back yardy old ******* who knows how to spray the **** and get him to whack on 10-12 coats and spend bout 2 days polishing it flat......no one else would or could be assed doing it. OR spend about $500 on 'debeer' or even 'protec' brand paint, cheapish but good 2K paint and any sprayer will do it and it'll look half decent depending on your prep work..... A lot of people make a mess painting it's not exactly easy....using acrylic black might make your car look worse than it already is....

Ok, ive thought about it..if somebody can spray acrylic well and the dings can be beaten out properly, then acrylic is fine? if im going to keep the car under 1year. Or 2pack if im going to keep it for a while..i was just curious if i buy 2pack paint, how much will it cost somebody to spray it? rough estimate..ive got around 1-1.5g to play with. thanks.

Ive got 3-4 litres jet black acrylic paint and 4 litres of clear already, which i bought for $50 for all of it off a mate. I just need a spraypainter thats willing to spray acrylic..the best quote ive gotten so far is $400, but i can imagine what it would look like after 2months lol..so if somebondy could give me a rough estimate on what id pay for a acrylic paintjob that will look decent then ill have an idea...2pack mite be a a bit out of my budget.. Also just wondering...how much more will people do engine bays for?

Seriously man, keep saving. You will thank yourself later. Paint will eat up about $800+ in 2Pac. Thats for cheaper paints. HOK can be $ 000's Call the shops, including the back yarders and get a serious quote. What seems minor to you will be a pain in the arse to them. Seeing as you want black, the car will have to be perfectly straight, and that my friend costs $'s. I'll start you off if you want. Call this number and ask for Bassa... [phone removed]

It's 2SUS Custom Dings here and there he'll fix, but if its been pranged, different story. He'll give you a quote for everything tho, and he's a man of his word. Took him a week to turn my car around, but it needed very little body work, but in turn, price was very good You'll be able to save yourself some money too if you strip it back yourself too. By this I mean pulling off all the bumpers, trims, etc. Saves them time, which saves you $$$'s. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
