So my diff is making some pretty bad clunking noises - bit of a bugger, but anyhow, can anyone recommend me somewhere to take it, and give me an idea of what I'd be looking at to get it 'done' (so I don't get ripped off). It's a factory LSD, and still 'works', just on its way out... Cheers Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Adelaide differential on port rd (08) 8346 8003 Great work good prices, depending on the damage (sounds like either excessive backlash, not common on auto's or the pinion carrier bearings) but expect to pay upwards of 1k for a full rebuild

adel transmission and diff did mine. full rebuild cost 2k. was originaly quoted 1k but turns out the diff was totally ****ed, made sense and it was making a pretty nasty noise and i worried about driving it there. Jake rebuilt it when he was working there. still feels tight as and hasnt give me any dramas, about 1.5 years old now, cheers jake Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

almost ready to get this done i think... i'll give graham a call, does he just expect a diff dropped off, or can you deliver the whole car drive in/out?

Ask him....probably prefer the whole car, it's a lot easier to work on it on a hoist than it is to play with the diff on stands or in a vice.
