Hey guys. I removed the head off my car today only to find the obvious. Wondering if anyone here in Adelaide had a stock RB30 cylinder head in excellent condition for sale. If not I have had quotes of around $440 for an exchange unit from quite a few places. I havnt prices any other items yet wondering if you guys would have a rough idea on what these items are worth. Rocker cover gasket Head Gasket Cam idler bearing ( shaged ) Inlet manifold gasket. Water pump Timing belt Thats all i can think of for now. Cheers

That exchange price is good. All the gaskets you need come in what is called a VRS kit, cheap ones start at 70 or so, expensive ones...well how long is a piece of string.

When i put a reco head on my car bout 12 months ago each thing cost the following roughly Rocker cover gasket: $10-15 from sprints Head Gasket: I recommend using a genuine Nissan one, the VRS ones arn't that flash i was told and everyone i spoke 2 swore by the genuine one $90 from Nissan Cam idler bearing ( shaged ): Didnt need replacing Inlet manifold gasket: $10-$15 from sprints Water pump: $70 for an aftermarket one from sprints Timing belt: $20-25 from sprints Hope thats of some help... Also they would only do a change over on my old head if it hadn't been welded before. I think i got it from "Adelaide Cylinder Head Specialists" was $500 outright or $350 change over 642 Port Road, 83474055

if the cam idler bearing is "shagged"? then it does need replacing. go to motor traders for aftermarket water pump. will only cost 40 bucks
