Hey guys. Just picked up mint VL Calais this evening. 100% origional. Series 2 Nov 87 Colour : White, Interior : Blue velour Kilometres : 150k Has all chrome strips badges etc. Never been in an accident, 2nd owner with books. Everything works on the car except the pop ups. The old guy said they made some horrible noises a few years ago so he just disconnected them. Havnt had a chance to look at it yet but will get cracking on it tomorrow after work. Just thought I'd share my good news. Will post up a few happy snaps in the next couple of days. Cheers

Well guys Im a shattered man. Whilst cruising to work this morning all was well until I noticed the temp rising slowly. As I went to accellerate off from the lights the car started to miss fart and carry on. I knew straight away what the problem was. Got her towed home. Opened the oil filer cap and saw the dreaded milk shake. Im hoping its only a head gasket but it may be a cracked head. This evening I drained the oil and got around 8 litres out the sump. Also popped the radiator cap and found oil in the radiator. Tomorrow I will rip the head off and see where we go from there. So If anyone out there had a standard head in excellent condition I may call upon you in the next couple of days. Cheers Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Heres a couple of quick pics I took last night so quality may look a bit dodgy. The interior is spotless but for some reason in the photos it looks brown in some areas. Thanks for looking. Cheers Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Very Grandpah spec i like it.Bit of a pain in the ass with the head but i'm sure you will sort it.Probably pay you to check some of those small heater hoses on the drivers side while shes apart i've had my car about 6 months and in that time i've replaced 5 hoses(thats gonna happen with a 20 yr old car). Some of em are a rite pain when the manifold is still bolted up Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
