I remember reading someone commenting about the CRS kit for them, apparently they're mounted upside down and its not much good for them.
Cant back this up though!

The SC14 (or SC12) can be mounted any way at all, and it will work fine.
The gearbox at the back is half full of oil, so it can be turned upside down or sideways, and it is still half full.
How it was mounted originally, there is an oil filler plug with a dip stick, and an oil drain plug at the bottom. If it is mounted some funny way, getting the oil in or out, or checking the oil level might be a bit interesting.
But provided there is oil in the gearbox it will run fine mounted any way at all.
I ran one for eighteen months upside down, and the rotors eventually wore out because I had removed the clutch and the blower rotors ran constantly. But the gears and gearbox were still perfect, and it used zero oil.

thanks tony. as usual you provide good information and keep the **** out of the threads.
The sc14 isnt for my vl, i already have an m90 for that (which i know can be mounted in any orientation). The 2 x sc14's are for my bedford van but fitting was only possible if they were sitting on an angle (due to piping). Now i know i can go ahead with it
The van is just my fun car so doesnt matter if they are a **** unit or not.
**QUICK31 - what were you expecting to get out of a small, used blower??? 65RWKW is a pretty good gain on 10psi for an old blower (in fact its an 81% increase on factory power). So whats the problem?? You get what you pay for.
**Poohkies can lock now mate as i have my answer**

the M90 can be orientated in any manner as well, just make sure you fill the front casing up with sufficient oil to keep the shaft bearings sitting in a bit when it's mounted. it's better to overfill than underfill here!
