ok guys as i posted a few weeks ago im getting a nice sound system put into my vl. now i am set for the front and rear speakers but i dont know wot type of subs or how many i can fit in my boot with a custom boot install?? i was thinking 4 x 12" maybe three on the rear wall and one to the side on the right? and my whole system is going alpine except my pioneer headunit so has anyone tried jamming three 12" subs on the back wall? and my two amps one to run the speakers and one to run the subs will both be inserted into the false floor with perspex overhead with neons inside hidden ofcourse! hmm black and red colour coded carpet. um ok so three questions 1.can you fit three 12" subs on the back wall 2.should i get type R's or type S's 3.should i run one 4ga cable then slpit it into two 8ga's cheers anyway guys Paul

1. You dont need three + subs 2. Type R is obviously the superior sub, but with that you have to have better amps to power them .. more costly 3.4ga should handle 1000rms no probs, and yes 8ga runs to the subs from the amps. Two type R subs will be a plentyful amount of bass, trust me. unless your going for DBA comps n stuff, theres no point in ruining your whole boot when you can make a nice setup out of 2 type R's
