Hey guys, I replaced my tps the other week but i havent had time to take it in to the workshop and get it adjusted properly. How can i properly adjust it, cause i either get it idling too high or too slow I've played around with the idle on the ecu as well but doesnt make to much of a difference. Mechanic told me i need to unplug the aac value and use that to adjust the tps, is that right? Cause I've got no idea. Cheers, Bec Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

d/c TPS plug and look for continuity between the bottom two pins(not sure on the pins) and crack the throttle slightly and it should go open circuit. easy as

well you would know, cos uif you got a 2nd hand manual one, it would have 1 less plug. also get it so yiour idles are a tad high. disconect the IAC valve and there is a scre in the back of the plenum. get the idles right with tha, then plug it back in. walla

What you've said sounds spot on, gives me something to do tomorrow cheers Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

wow bad spelling, want me to re type it? i will any way.. unplug IAC valve, adjust the screw in the back of the plenum, its counter sunk in, and quite big, you will need one of those short stubbie screw drivers, when idles are good, plug it back in and it should stay like that. i think the car has to be off when you unplug the iac for it to work then start it.

no need to play with IAC just need a multimeter and screwdriver

This is getting confusing. TPS adjustment and idle adjustment are 2 different things. All the TPS does is tell the ecu if your accelerating (open throttle) or decelerating (closed throttle), adjusting it shouldnt affect the idle. Benny01 is right except its the top 2 pins.
