Just tought i'd put this up. Here is a list of mechanics that are licenced to do pit inspections (take off yellows and licence vehicles)... http://www.dpi.wa.gov.au/mediaFiles/lic_ais.pdf Link to D.P.I. page: http://www.dpi.wa.gov.au/licensing/myvehicle/1442.asp Might be easier for people to book a day and time through a mechanic rather then just waiting and hoping to get through at the government pits... They may not help many people cos they seem to be a bit further out of Perth, there is a couple mechanics in Rockingham and few more in Mandurah for those south of the river... Don't know which ones are closest to those north or east...

Well if you live in Perth you can easily just go to the local Pits. otherwise if your out in coolgardie by chance, you have someone who can do it instead of bringing it back to Perth.

Mark's Workshop in York is listed ! Thats about 100km east. Lot better chance of getting your car passed there, considering they build some nice cars themselves. May be very handy when i need mine rego'd

You will find, that these remote mechanics won't book in people from other places. They get to know the locals. My bro had his car done at Mark's workshop, and he said don't being it back here, take it to a local pit. They know that they are being used, and have to be careful. If DPI see a large amount of Metro cars going to regional pits, then they get a bit suspicious. Quote: Originally Posted by NVIOUS Mark's Workshop in York is listed ! Thats about 100km east.
