I have a st3 4 speed as well with std convertor and it is awesome, good around town and on the highway it feels like a std box but when you nail it the shifts are nice and firm and progressive. I can also highly recommend paul to anyone, he is a top bloke and looks after his customers 100%.

i think the 4 speed only goes up to 350 kw. theres something about the 4th gear that cant take more than that ive heard. thee 550 is a 3 speed

im only making in the low low 200rwkw mark and have the 220kw 4 speed man valve body box. its THE BEST THING I EVER DID TO THE CAR. flawless shifts. even the 3rd to o/d is rock hard and instantaneous as soon as i push the pwr button.. my old 'highly modified' 4 speed jatco from another shop was nothing like this and cost just as much!! get him to do the converter too. do it once, do it KEAS i say Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

However its the intermediate shaft that can be prone to breaking, normally during a heavy upshift, in any of the lower gears

paul has built himself a reputation among the VL turbo scene as being one of the best jatco transmission specialists out there, and for good reason. i remember when he was just starting out with this site, helped me install a shift kit into my dunger at the time via the internet. always willing to help and knows as much as can be known about auto transmissions. in short, get a KEAS box. i'm just wondering how you can rate a gearbox in terms of boost pressure, that's just weird. does that mean if you put a 700hp n/a V10 in front of it then it will last forever? haha i wish!
