to give you a rough idea my crank cost $1200 so be careful... are you using a 308 block? just dont take shortcuts on good cheap deals as you will end up paying for it later on

This is another case of you get what you pay for.

$600 to buy it then $1000 to balance it cause there that crap...Pay a little bit more and get a harrop or crankshart rebuilders crank,i think there arond the $1400mark

def vouch for the crankshaft rebuilders.... best nod crank u can buy, and yes i know cause i had one! so well made, ive had it sit right next to a come and harrop too... the shop agreed (flowcraft) I asked about the ss crank because whilst they have a bad rep ive never read anything about them breaking or the like so i think most ppl just copy what they heard and its blind leading the blind... they may be ok for all some of us know, some of the ebay turbos seem to last for some ppl

well i was always leaning towards the harrop crank but thought if people are getting good results from these then why not try it. i know one bloke who used one in his kingswood and it made like 350-360hp at the bags through 4500-5000g convertor, th400 and 9 inch. Rev to 7600rpm all day till he broke a piston. If i heard a couple more stories like that id definately give the ss crank a run

thats the thing... u hear ppl say they're cheap crap but wheres the stories about them snapping or bending ??? like i said blind leading the blind... ppl shun it cause its cheap, it used to be the same story with pro-stroke kits till they started turning up in some pretty quick car combos.

depends if you want to end up being the person with the story of a broken crank. i certainly wouldn't risk my engine on cheap crap, my local crank grinder has told me they take alot to balance, which is an indication of the poor quality. On the other hand, he was amazed when i sent him my crankshaft rebuilders crank, said he could tell it was alot higher quality then even the harrop/come cranks he's used to seeing.

You want pain and heartache in your life? If you thought women were the major causes of these in your life, then you aint dealt with these guys yet! I got taken by a grand with faulty goods They talk the talk while making the sale, but dont want to know you if there are problems. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Thats it NVIOUS, if its cheap brand new i dont want anything to do with it, rather do it once then go through all the pain and heartache doin it all again.. Thats just my opinion tho...

well lets get literal anyway... if ur gonna spend up to a grand or more on pistons and rods plus another grand getting machining work all just for your bottom end its retarded to go with an cheap questionable crank Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Why risk it? . . . .Seriously! If you want to build a stroker on a budget maybe you should consider a 330.

You're actually right in what you are saying. I've yet to hear or read anything about the cranks failing.
