John has finally got his VL back at the track with a very loose 9.7 @ 144mph tonight at Calder John had previously run 9.6 @ 147mph at heathcote almost a year ago The car is making the same power as back then but with 10psi less boost This is due to the new cooler from JPC and the new JPC plenum The car also now has a cage and a chute As you can see from the launch photo there is smoke coming from the tyres Tracks not to good for small tyred cars atm Steve Athens went 7.9

Thats awsome, i can belive how far the rb30 has come only a couple of years ago people were wrapped with a 10 now were doing 9 second pass's i predict a untubbed vlt will run a high 7 next year. Good work to the guys at jpc if a guy can loose 10psi and make the same power just buy changing the cooler and plenum there doing somthing right.

Well done John.. Car is looking good as always You must be happy about the mph on 10psi less? Ben, you will be surprised how well the JPC inlet manifold works, with wider/shorter runners as compaired to the standard VLT runners, more power on less boost is easily achievable with one of these inlet manifolds. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Well done on the et but it does suprise me as to how long it takes to get 9 second VLT's up onto full boost, usually the other cars crossed the finish line(end even sometimes driving up the return road!!!!) and we're still waiting for boost to climb 7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15-20,,,hang on!!!!! Id hate to be the fluid in the auto,,,,,,,but again well done.

It's good to see that JPC car's tend to punch out huge power on the dyno, then prove it by running huge M.P.H at the strip. Well done to AIR747 and everyone involved. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

well done, car looks tuff. Just wondering if it made the same power why the mph dropped, is is because he backed out of it abit? cheers darren
