for starters, get a v8 throttle body for it, redo the intake system, include a hsv cold air intake (the full length ones, not the half length ones) extractors, exhaust, shift kit, 3.9's, stally, should give quite a few cars a run for their money.... if it dont, then you start to get serious... either twin turbo, or stroker, headwork, cam depends on wha tyou want it to do and how much you wanna spend.... oh btw, our old vn nearly got a twin turbo setup aobut 10 years ago, but it was just a daily

start with what mad wog said, ur usual bolt oin ****. if u wanna start working the motor heaps of places, bresciani (johns also good with v8's not just vlt's), flowcraft, pavtek, electronic automotive, starr (bit dear), F1 perfromance, C&A auto-fashion. Starr have a pretty good manifold package in which u get a bunch of bannana look a like manifold (designed for more airflow) 90mm tb, remapped computer for like $2750 last time i checked..claims to give u an extra 40kw with the full setup.

Look back even 4 years ago at the resale value, VN's passing in much less for 2k, VL's were STILL fetching 4k ..... Headling falls out, door seals fall off all sorts of things .... they're just crap.
