With a maualised auto will the car drive like a normal auto in 'D' or is that full time 3rd gear?? Just got a new gearbox in my car, he was ment to put a manual valve in it... Got it back today and it drives just like how my car did before (std gearbox) Did he screw me over (put back in the std valve body)?? I paid for the box that price included a manual valve body but it's not written up on the recipt... Cheers Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

You got punked.... Manual valve will stay in the gear its told to. Go back, maybe he 'forgot' what was discussed.....

yeh manual valve body will be in the gear you select all the time no matter what speed your doing as wyndup said....

Yea thats what i though... Nah he couldn't have forgotten as i told him the previous day that i wanted the manual valve body, he was trying to get me to change it back to standard cos he had to redo the selector if i was going to keep the manual valve...

Manual Valve Body means you have to choose which gear and when....full-time manual changing effectively. Let us know how you go when you discuss this with him...be interested to hear his reply.

Nah havn't gone back yet, going to ring him up this morning, and see what he has to say for himself...

Just under 400.. Talked to him yesterday, he said the valve body was stuffed so he sent it back. He'll give me a ring when the new one comes in and he'll put it in for me...
