I've done a bit of a search but not much came up... I've just got a new turbo gearbox put on my car, it's a series one, which has the cable for the selector whereas the series two have the rod selector... I'm just wondering which is the better option? I've got both at home... The box is a manualised auto... Which is better, cable selector or rod selector?? Do either shift better?? Cheers Jono

I would have said rod, less slop/stretch etc, because the cable is eliminated. They would have changed to the rod for a reason.

I have got a fully manualised KEAS box with standard shifter and I have just converted the standard shifter from cable to rod. Much easier and smoother to shift, and more precise. Rod is alot better.
