Hey guys, Just a quick q I'm after the torque wrench setting for the pressure relief plug, which is the big bolt on the bottom of the oil pump. Its not in the Gregory's manual. Could somebody with an Ellery's manual or a Holden service manual please look it up for me. That would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance, Antho

just looked through the holden service manual vol2 and vol6 and couldnt find any torque specs on the relief valve bolt, only on the oil pump bolts which are 6.3-8.3 Nm. i just nipped mine up by feel, it has a washer there so i wasnt too worried.

PM me $2 per torque setting! Sounds a bit tuff but its good encouragement to buy a manual!!

i believe factory torque specs on that bolt are "Tight As A Nun's Arrsehole"

Yeah i'm doing the whole build myself so I want it to be as perfect as possible. Plus I'm a bit weary of over-tightening or leaving it to loose cause it has a spring on it. Stupid Gregory's manual says "Tighten the pressure relief plug to the specified torque" but it isn't specified anywhere in the whole book Anybody else know? Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
