Hey guys and girls, For the past week or two ive been going through the for sale section.....i come across number plates which are rediculasly over priced........ Alot of statements said.....wont suit next vehicle or never been on the car.....the first one is fair enough but the second one if they have never been on the car.....all your doing is trying to make easy cash...... people selling them for $500 plus......cmon.....you guys make me laff actually bothering to buy the plates and thinking your going to get a buy.....especially when the mixture of numbers and letters came out, vicroads went sky high with ****heads buying plates and thinkn they will sell for more that they bought them for lol.....also LOL to all you guys that try and sell stock plates.....eg. WOG-801 or CAL-000....u no wer im coming from that makes me laff soo much. Stop trying to make $$$ of numberplates because they obveously wont sell! If you want $$$ get off your ****ing computer chair you ****ing doll bludgers and ****ing earn $$$ like the rest of us ****ing AUSTRALIANS.........cheapo's! You ****heads know who you are selling your plates at such high prices........ my 2cents -John

well it all comes down to the buyer, if their willing to pay the price that their prob, LoL u save about $90 if it was never on the car

I dont know, some plates are kinda good to have, and like ^^^ said.. they're worth what someones prepared to pay. I bought BOOSTA for $650, and have sold XBOOST and PSHHHT pretty cheap.. doesnt mean much, just that was the going rate at the time.

I have my old plates advertised on a few sites, there not really for sale, but if someone wants them at the price i have on them they can have them

Im not a fan of people selling plate's either for profit. As I've said before, how hard is it to use your brain and think up one for yourself? Why buy someone else's identity?

havent u heard of personalised plates goin for big bucks? if i was a millionare with a Lamborghini, i'd pay a kid a grand or two if he had plates that i wanted... the day i bought my plates and got them on the car, i was offerd 700 for them buy a guy in a 7 series BMW on 20's, but i had just put them on!

I've been offered a lot of money for mine... but i like them and want to keep them. The real collectables are just numbers... shannons insurance buy them for MEGA BUCKS!!! The three number plates go for tens and tens of thousands! I too hate seeing ridiculous prices, but i dont mind someone selling plates for anything up to a grand if theyre really good plates. It makes me laugh seeing 10k+ for plates in the trader! I feel like ringing up and talking crap to them hahaha.

A number plate is worth what ever someone is willing to pay for it. I think any good plate for under $1000 is very reasonable. But $18,000!!! i would prefer to purchase a 11 sec. vl turbo instead

Yeah, thats sounds good too, but when you have no money you cant even purchase a 11 minute vl

if u can get the money why not. As said the real rare exlusive plates are worth money, like "1" or HOLDEN just real rare combos... ITZ-WAR will not even fetch 1800, its just a common plate and also a rip off of the original plate by immitating 'its' with the Z.

lol @ ITZWAR, i saw that and started laughing.. atleast spell it properly and maybe ask alot yes and hope for the best.. imagine how much BROCKY etc. and plates like that will actually fetch for collectors.. a mate got offered 2k for his plates NOPSI but didnt sellm, people will pay good money but 18k seriously, someone ring up and offer him 10k and see what he says.. i want to go down there with 10k cash and see what he does if i flash it infront of him.

at a number plate auction early this year i heard ferrari sold for 68k
