now before any off use go raming it down my throat to do a search i have and i cant find a decent answer on how to improve diff bounce.
I no that u can never get rid of it with a locker just want some opinons.
The best way i have found is to use an adjustable whiteline sway bar it has about 6 or so different spots u can adjust diff role with, n the other best way i have found is stuffed shocks so when ur floor it the car sqwats down n the shockers dont push the body up there for less diff bouce.
then again this is **** for handlen around corners n ****, but u cant have a car to go fast in a strait line and handle to good aswell.
any help would be good cause it really is a pain in the arse this diff hopp ****.

I hada locker in mine with 4.11's and didnt have an issue with what your having..
im not surebut maybe 10/90 shocks may fix theproblem?

Have you tried searching for its proper name, "axle tramp"? Decent shocks wills fix your problem.
90/10's in the rear would be absolutely ridiculous.

ive set of pedders low riders it makes it worse, u never see a drag car diff bounce the problem is decent shocks have to much down pressure on them 10/90's would be good as they would sit down n stay down cause there no force pushing the diff back up which creates diff bounce.
but with them shocks u cant fly through corners so im just trying to find out if any1 is using decent shocks with out diff bounce.
as my other car doesnt diff bounce but that's stock height with stuffed shocks but that's set-up for the strip.
90/10's in the rear would be absolutely ridiculous.[/QUOTE]
he said 10/90's man they go down n wont go back up in a hurry a good idea for a car with heaps of h.p looking for that bit of extra traction.
if u have a car that can spin em up at 70 plus with a minispool u will see wat i mean about diff bounce il have to get a video up of it n show u how bad it is.

tramp is something that comes with the cons of driving a spooled car. Tempest has been toying with many many things to try and stop it, he hasnt come up with anything to stop it completely so far...
Just try anything and everything. has to be a working combination...

12-11-06, 15:52 GMT+10#11 my rebuilt lsd in the calais has never tramped, the mini spool in my other vl only tramps when it can't quite break traction say when its a tad damp and you just roll on the throttle from a crawl in the wet, if you slip the clutch to get it sliding it doesn't do it at all. Can someone explain the physical reason behind it?

12-11-06, 18:47 GMT+10#12 wont stop the tramp at all... either learn to love it and live with it or move on to a pussy lsd lol

13-11-06, 17:21 GMT+10#14 i use to have a lot of axel tramp problems.
Raced once at the drags and diff hopped that bad it dented the floor from the diff yoke.
Went home and replaced the rear shockers with a pair of pedders 50/50 valved short shockers.
Next time out was 70% better only tramped in the top of 1st.
Replaced the top trailing arms bushes on top of diff with pedders solid rubbers and stopped tramp completly.
Still handles killer on the street to for body roll.
thats my experiances anyway hope it helps

16-11-06, 11:53 GMT+10#18 schit 7.10 thats nilly time for a cage thats quick for a street car.
im trying a few new things this time, taking headlight out cause it will be night time and not 30 like every other time we race. Going to flat change it so it dont dose in between gears and give me lag, and im running an extra injector n wack it up to 15 pound.

16-11-06, 15:20 GMT+10#19 my car does this too, and was wondering what might be causing so i may have to try a few things difference being is mine is LSD. Orginally i was putting down the the fact that the origianl 3.45s had been taken out in favour of 2.9's before i bought it, so when taking off (it is a manual GB) it requires a bit more riding of the clutch to get going (not heaps just a little), Then it gets to a point where it just bounces its arse off until i get the speed up. Could it be the diff ratio making it so bad? Sorry for the hijack but i though i might as well keep it in the same thread

It definately will be making things hard for it. Get yourself a centre from something with a ratio your after and take the crown wheel and pinion off it and swap it onto yours.
Pretty much have 3.08, 3.45, 3.7, 3.89, 3.91, 4.11. this is what you will find easily in stock cars
