Hello everyone i'm new to this site and think it great my names Mick,i Have a efi 5lt in a 87 calais and when i got the car it didn't have any heater hoses or vaccuum hoses hooked up,i have been through many books with no luck,i'm sure there are a lot of people here that have done this conversion, can you please tell me where the vaccuum hose on the heater tap goes as there is only 1 vaccuum hose that i see that comes through the fire wall between the 2 heater hoses and i have the vaccuum hose running t pieced to the manifold vaccuum and vaccuum canister to the firewall hose i dont know if this is right either?

not sure about vl's , but i think on my vn it has one vacuum line from the manifold t-pieced to fuel pressure reg & the other to the heater controls thru the firewall. Then there should be another vacuum line coming out from the heater controls back thru the firewall and to your heater tap. Though i'm running a come racing manifold, can't remember how it routed up with the stock one.

vls have a heater tap inside the cab.Operated by a wire control. If you have your heater pipes off,one is brass and the other is plastic, thats the heater tap.

when a conversion is done, the heater tap in the engine bay is removed and replaced with a joiner as there already is a heater tap in the cabin as part of the VL's HVAC system. It should work without having to mod anything
