Figured i'd make a proper thread for this now that its pretty much sorted... Ive had the car for over 5 years now and its come a long way since I bought it as a very, very lightly modded VL Berlina Turbo 5 speed. Cosmetically i decided to do the Calais look with front, rear and sides being added. First real performance mods were an ATS built T04B Hiflow, Haltech E6H, 550cc injectors and a Bosch 910 pump. Using stock inlet and exhaust manifolds the car managed 243rwkw on 18psi with a badly damaged No.4 piston.... Was then decided to convert the car to auto. MV Automatics provided a Stage II Jatco 4 speed with 2800 stall. This box brought with it numerous 'teething' problems with several failures in a very short period of time. To MVs credit they were fixed with little fuss (or cost) and it has since proven to be reliable. The original tired and breathy RB30ET was then rebuit by Allan Engineering basically to standard specs all but a small Waggott cam and 7.5:1 comp. The above mods and auto got the car well into the 12s running a 12.07@115.07mph on pump with MT E/Ts. Trans was having shift issues from 2nd to 3rd (over-revving 2nd gear)..... None the less, was fairly happy with the result. An 11.99 would have been nice... After cruising with guys like MONSTER, VLTNitron, MR VLT, JETR31 making 385rwkw and Tubbed1 building a 9 second missile it was soon clear that 12s no longer cut the mustard.......... Was time for some more serious 'upgrades'..... Decided to use parts proven on various SA RB30s (JETR31, MONSTER etc). Car now has a GT35/40 (0.82), 48mm Turbosmart gate on ported exhaust manifold, JD Plenum on N/A runners, LukeVL cam, Romac vernier cam gear, 2xBosch 910 pumps, BTR surge tank, MSD 6A ignition (to be fitted ASAP). Motor has some minor internal goodies-ARP Head Stud Kit and Rod bolts, RB26head gasket, rods are resized stock items, pistons are Precision with comp ratio approx 7.5:1. Engine bay has been neatened and most of it smoothed, battery in boot, wiring hidden, 99% of this work being done by myself in my carport.... Fuel system. Interior remains largely stock VL Berlina bar the addition of 2 Autometer Silver gauges (Boost and Oil) in the centre console, a Momo Corse wheel, Pioneer head unit, Alpine splits, 6x9s and V12 (4ch) amp. And no, i didnt **** myself on the seat cover... ...its protein shake....lol. Most recent addition are the white-walled Polished FR19s. Car made 360rwhp on 18psi but was having ignition issues even with plugs gapped to 0.6mm (hence the MSD to be fitted)...it also destroyed a piston on the dyno that day due to low octane fuel being used by mistake (my fault).... Once MSD is fitted its going back on the dyno for a re-tune and 20psi. Cheers for lookin. Will post results once I have them. Darren. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

That's mad man. A recipe done may time's over, but one where you just can't lose. I think a Grey Series II interior is needed to complete the job. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Car made 282.5rwkw (379rwhp) on 19psi (Auto) today on Hitechs dyno, happy with that, not huge boost at all. Small vid, pretty poor quality... http://video.tinypic.com/player.php?v=478hxc1

It may have been a lowish reading dyno but through the Auto it made just over 200rwkw, like 205ish... Ran that pass 12.07 pass on M/T slicks, not sure what it was launching at but using the handbrake and foot brake mashed through the floor got it stalled up to about 3200-3400 or so and 5 or so psi...1.74 60ft. Cheers for the kind words man, keeps you motivated when people appreciate the effort you put in...
