On my daily car it shakes in when idling, it goes away when you put the revs on a little bit. It happens no matter what gear it is in even neutral...
Also it has a shake down low when crusing in 5th, it's like a pulsating shake. Anyone know what the problem is??
Cheers
Jono

Possible Engine mounts/ trans mounts.

It's a manual, i think the mounts are all ok, been over the pits they didn't say anything about replacing the mounts or anything, dont think its the trans mounts as i have had another put gearbox in... Checked the leads, dont think it's them either...

Yeah that's dead torque converter symptoms. And it's "4th" or "overdrive" (this has been debated many many times over). There's no 5th in a VL auto box.

26-10-06, 20:41 GMT+10#19 mine used to do it due to crap oil and fuel
changed the oil filter, oi,l sparks, leads and dizzy and it seemed to fix things.
Then i reset the AFM (or i think i did) back to .385 and she works a treat
