its a strata 2 kit that was available at many holden dealers at the time.
the first car i ever turbo'd was a lc torana with a 202, i used those exact manifolds with a suckthrough single webber.
it was crap lol.

18-09-06, 21:27 GMT+10#15 thats pretty cool all over...atleast holden had the balls to play with stuff like that at the time.

18-09-06, 21:39 GMT+10#16 holden didnt have anything to do with it.
it was an aftermarket company that did the job, the for holden were simply hooking you up with the company who did the turbo conversion.
ive got an old street machine mag with an add for the strata kit,but im not going to find it

18-09-06, 21:52 GMT+10#17 the vc turbo's were more common. with the blue motor. they were quicker than the brock's at the time and handled better with less weight in the front.
there are a few turbo xe falcon's aswell. the better ones being the **** Johnson Grandprix's.

18-09-06, 22:41 GMT+10#18 the falcon turbo cars were the blue XE ****y cars, grand prix i think they were.
the factory nearly brought out a factory turbo, but they didnt like its performance towing a caravan in hot weather so they didnt bring it out...
XE ESP's were popular with turbos as well, a few were made, 190 or so KW and bucket loads of torque

18-09-06, 23:00 GMT+10#19 A guy i used to work with had a VB turbo back in the day. Was a 202, pretty sure it was a kit. Gold coloured, he said the bonnet turned brown with the amount of heat... it did well over 200km/h! And had heaps of problems.
