This sucks, We were driving home in the rain the other weekend and anyway coming around a left hand kinda tightish sweeper i went to go into 4th from third to just cruise at 60 and i accidently hit 2nd and thinking i was going to 4th i didnt ease the clutch out i just let it straigh out, anyway my rear wheels went into a huge compression lock and the because i was turning the cars rear end just come around us, i managed to not hit anything and i turned it into, while still sliding LOL good old drifting pratice, another street. Having the **** freaked outa me i got out and checked out if my mates was ok and then checked the car over, about 2 seconds after i got a cop pulled up and had a word to me about what happened because he was coming outa another street and saw it happen, i told him what happened and then he is like you should be very carefull especially in the rain and then said he wasnt to give me a ticket Now 2 weeks later i got a fine in the mail saying i was doing 'wheelspins' and sliding. $300 fine 2 demerits. I mean if i had of got negligent driving i would be like well fair enought but ****. What should i do?

Take it to court and contest it. You did everything you possibly could to prevent a tricky situation from becoming much worse, right down to checking if your passengers were ok afterwards. Good on ya mate.

i did soemthing like this befor was over taking a truck and was in 4th and missed 5th in the wet went into 3rd and the engine screamed and so did both wheels sideways at 100 is scary when ur not ready for it but cops let me off and i never got the fine i would sujest paying it if u can less hassel but if anything you wont pay and and try explain it to the courts (i like making things hard for everyone even my self)

is it your first offence, write a letter away to the adress on the form, state what happened, dont let them get away with it, had a similar thing happen to me got caught drifting and they said i was only getting done for neg driving but a month later got done for burnouts and wreakless driving $500 fine

site driver inexperience as a contributing factor and if you got a clean driving record use that. however if you got anything on your driving record i wouldn't even bother dreaming about a court challenge

mate, you gotta fight it! if he didnt give you an on the spot fine then theres nothing to worry about. if a cop pulls you over he/she has to fine you then and there.

Totally wrong they can send you a ticket in the post, the cop may not have had any tickets with him so can take your details and send one later
