Hey, ok i got some werid noises that just appeared one day, i used to have hissing noise which sounded like the thrust bearing (replaced that about 8000kms ago with new clutch) and then i got this loud cluncking and rattling sound when the clutch is out and the car is sitting there and also it happens in 1st, 2nd and 3rd and goes away in 4th. its very loud and you can hear it outside the car easily! I think its the bearing in the gears and stuffed which has cause the gears to move off its angle abit and cause the gears to hit each other. doesnt happen in 4th because its a straight line through the shaft in 4th and doesnt go through all the clusters etc. anyone got any other suggestions?? dont have enough cash to buy another gearbox Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Time to bring it in for reconditioning...there's nothing much you can do..or get an RB20 box, otherwise just keep driving it til you can't go any further..

Mines pretty much the same at the moment. Worn input bearing, rattles, squeaks, the whole lot. Just need some cash so I can pick up an RB20 box from melbs.
