Solid lifters go with a solid cam. Are you sure you know what your talking about VL_RB25DE?

yeah there are solid cams available for the RB30.. but if your going to that extent, get one custom ground.

What would be the benefits of it? My mate changed his 308 to solid cam and lifters and it didn't really seem to make much difference, just made the engine rattle a bit more.

Usually a solid cam / lifter set up is a more agressive camshaft. They have a pointier lobe and yes they do tap lots. Theyre great for high comp motors, but there's the pain of adjusting rockers constantly.

Yes its do-able. Its actually quieter than hydraulic performance cams. Its easy to adjust in an RB30 depending on how you set it up. Its not cheap but- Cam is the same price but lifters need custom inserts and if you are going to shim inside the lifter it needs to be set up or you can make the rockers adjustable which also costs coin. I did a cam for someone who races their car and it makes 650hp and is quite aggressive and its still hydraulic so do you really need a mechanical cam?

I just had my lifters changed back from solids to hydraulics and im wrapped with the amount of noise i took away, solids are just a real pain in the arsenal when it comes to tapping..
