Ive heard of it being done before, the struts are thicker but you can fit them with the noltec strut tops which have adaptors that fit onto the smaller vl struts. (Just take em out) I take it you want install them because you can adjust the camber and fit vt brakes straight on?

I've done this conversion around 8 years ago and yes it can be done. Only 1 problem you have to get custom lower control arms as the vs one are overall including the bolt joint longer and there for the track is way off with massive negative camber and when you straighten the wheels up the top of the tyre hits the guard. Its a lot of hassle for no real gain. The only real advantage the vs set up has is it has a hub wich are a lot stronger instead of a wheel bearing and the struts can be easily and quickly unbolted without to much hassle unlike the vb to vp setup. I tried it and it cost me a fair amount of money and in the end I sold it all off and went back to the old setup. I wish I still had pictures so I could show you but I don't anymore.

also there wud be a bigger distance from the hub to the bottom of the spring seat than the vl one , so fiting 20s wud be easyer

Dunno about that, I thought VL ones would give more room? I have done it to my car and it gives massive negative camber!

That is why Harrop make a better front hub set up.
