i havent heard of them.. Rampage by Audiovox. hmm.
the AVW122 has dual 6ohm voice coils which is good, polypropelene cone. it's the best of the lot by the looks and takes 800watts, although i suspect that's max power. wattsRMS might be 300-400ish.
but still, it's from supercheap so i doubt it's very good at all haha

Gday just browsing through these post and not many people have anything nice to say about this brand.
Unfortunately i disagree as my whole car is fitted with this brand.
I have managed to win 2 sound comps so far with 140.1db coming from 3 12" Rampage subs (hard 2 believe i know) my total cost of stereo system only set me back $650.00 all new and i cant complain at all.

Even so, you do have 3 12" woofers. I've done the same number with only one 12" woofer.

10-09-06, 20:46 GMT+10#15 They sound alright for a little while and then they die. This kid used to go up and down the street in his mums xf falcon with a rampage twin sub box in the boot and rampage speakers in the parcel shelf. He would crank it up loud, and for about 3 days it actually sounded acceptable but then it started to crackle and after about 1 week i never heard any more music come from that sh!t heap! They sell sony gear in strathfeild for a decent price so just chuck in the extra few bucks and get quality.

12-09-06, 17:24 GMT+10#17 Mate are you saying Alpine is a cheap brand? And are you also saying that Sony doesn't make quality gear? Do you think Pioneer is a cheap brand aswell? Oh i'm sorry, i just noticed you were from Adelaide. Hey, has anyone in your state broken 10 seconds for the 1/4 in a street car yet?

12-09-06, 21:27 GMT+10#19 I got a pair of rampage 6in 2 ways as cheap hole fillers in my custom pods in my old vl when i took my splits out and sold the car. I was surprised how good the sound was for $20!! They may not last very long (i'm not sure, i sold the car), but hey, for $20 they weren't half bad!! Nothing on par with my pioneer splits or anything, or my mates focals or mb quarts... but ****, for $20... i was surprised!!

13-09-06, 15:09 GMT+10#20 Yeah in the end it does depend on how much you really want out of your ice. If you just want something that will play songs for you and your happy as long as you get "some" bass out of it then go for something cheapish. If you get six months out of something you payed $100 for then you've definately got your money's worth
