hey all just changed my engine and the starter doesnt seem to be gettin enough power cos its only slightly turnin the motor rather than an almost fall rotation.. like turn the key and itl move about 1cm and stop.. starter? connections? the flywheel and all is fine.. its the starter from my old engine and that would crank fine.. so it cant be the terminals.. thanks

make sure you can turn the engine by hand, do your'e dash lights dim when you crank it?,does it stop and the the starter solenoid keeps clicking or just stop and do nothing. Check your'e battery and earth points on the block

check you battery its probley stuffed. it may have 12v but when you crank it it shouldnt go below 10v or so. also the battery might not putting out enough amps. ill try battery before you start pulling things apart. also side note: hows the engine condition, alternator condition, and terminals are they tight both + and -.
