Got a wheel alignment the other day and it was revealved that my rear left wheel has 3mm of toe! The axles have been lathed to get rid of any runout and the only other possiblity I can think of is a bent housing. Does anyone know what else couldve caused this?
No! Thats why Im so confused! Ive just had the axle out and found the bearing cup wasnt sitting straight so I fixed all that up and took it for a drive and its still scrubbing! Its hitting the top of the bumper in the guard where the metal end cap screws on.
Lowered on Ultralows with an adjustable panhard and rolled guards, but thats not going to cause toe on only one wheel. Its either going to toe in on one wheel AND out on the other, or not at all. Its solid axle so its theoretically impossible to have toe on one wheel only. Its gotta be the housing or something inside the housing. Im so confused!

I checked that when I pulled the axle out earlier tonight and it all seemed fine. Even if it was slightly off its the bearing that centres the axle not the outer retainer. I was offered a complete diff for $50 last week so I reckon I'll just grab that and do the swap.
i bet yup a million dollars its been like that since day one. or somewhere in its life its had a knock, or the person doing the alignment didn't put the camera on correctly on that wheel.
9 times out of 10 the rear will be out on any sold Axel vehicle, its all to do with the manufacturing of the diff and Can't be helped.
3mm is not that much anyways
Im thinking its been like that since day one too. I had the alignment done twice by two different people just to be sure. 3mm may not be much but its enough to make the tyre hit the bumper on hard bumps!
