Hey I have noticed on idle my car (VP Calais V6) idles rough, i go to the exhaust and you can hear a constant misfire and feel it if you put your hand around it. I have replaced my spark plugs and HT leads recently, next thing would be to check coil pack correct? how would i check if it is the coil pack is there a way of using a mulitmeter to do this or only by replacing it? It seems allright underload no hesitation, runs normally very responsive. This problem is only on idle in Park, Reverse, Drive etc... Thanks for your help in advance.

Wasn't the coil a common fault with these? I know VN's had crap coils and always needed replacing, but maybe this was rectified with the VP??

man thats pretty common normally its old timing chain, dirty injector or dirty valves nuthing to worry about and i wouldnt bother lookin for it....best bet is to get some injector cleaner throw it in ya fuel tank and see how ya go.

A tank of premium does the same thing but yeah i think it may be a common problem how would an old timing chain cause this?
