hey got my car back from machanics last week and since i got the car takes a while to start like it clicks over but the engine doent actually start...i know its nothing to do with the battery so i took it back to the mechanic and he said it could be the distributer (which might have dirt in it} or the the immobaliser that ive got .....has anyone had this problem and is there any other problems that it could be? thanks

i was havin the same problem with my circuit car. with mine if you squeeze the fuel reg return hose(after regulator) it started straight away? but i think the pump of reg is faulty, try that next time or pull the spark plug lead off and check the spark

while the car is on, fiddle with the CAS plug and see if the car turns off...

the CAS is inside the dizzy. the CAS plug is the plug ontop of the dizzy.

yeh i got it it seems 2 b the cas when i move it the engine dies....is it hard to replace yourself or do i get a auto elec to do it, if so how much?

easy as to do yourself. take dizzy cap off, un do rotor bolt and take rotor off. undo two philips head screws holding cover plate in place and remove.undo philips head screw inside rotor shaft and remove. mark the rotational disc with a marker/permanent pen on the side that faces out before you remove this disc. undo philips head screws holding cas plug in place on top of dizzy and remove plug bracket and seal. undo philips head screws holding cas in place and remove. installation is reverse. make sure you put the rotational disc in the same way you pulled it out(ie the side you marked faces out).
