just buy a 25 box, you cant get a better box then that in standard form

And I bet a conversion kit to bolt the RB25DET to the W58 will cost a heap as well... Personally I'd just wait and get the R33 box to suit the motor, much much easier that way

looking at 400 bux for w58 200 for custom shaft and **** knows how much for the bell housing and crap. thats whats gonna cost ya w58 can hold up to 400hp and if setup is done replacment box wont be much or hard to find. prob be same amount as rb25 box in the end anyways

Ive only just got it goin a driving round my workshop car park but seams responsive. The engine is back out getting the engine bay painted for motovation. It revs like a bitch and sounds sh1t hot through a 3 inch exhaust and my bodged log style manifolds. If ya mates got any questions dont hesitate to ask.

No ive got the R154 turbo box which is stronger obviously.I had a w58 in my 1 tonner which was as always with the toy boxes smooth as!If your goin to put some power through it id use the R154 but are a little thin on the groud compared to the w58 and more expensive. The only real drama is they are really short so the shifter is further away nothing major but its not right there if ya no wot i mean.

is the shifter furthre away on the r154 or w59 or both?

both i meant compared to the nissan box.In my commy the shifter sits about 6 inches foward so if you spun the plastic console cover round 180 degrees it sit about there if that makes sense.

mine is auto atm, is the console different from the 5 speed? does the gearbox sit further back, because if it 6 inches forward itll probably be sitting underneath my mp3 player by the sounds of it!!!

console is differrent. It does sit foward more to the dash but not that close still have plenty of room.If i had the motor/box in i would measure it for ya but its out at the moment.
