hi everyone, i'm after some tips on making the VL a little less attractive to thieves and also what mods (if any) i can do to make it harder to steal. as it is it has all the stock locking mechanisims etc, no central locking, it does have an alarm + immobilser but its only a cheap autobarn hornet system. my g/f thinks the car has been broken into before, the door locks on both sides are always difficult to insert the key into and the car can be opened with other keys. the key barrel is loose and also difficult to insert the key into to start the car. she doesnt use a clublock or anything like that, someone did suggest putting a padlock over the auto shift handle so you can't take it out of park. when my pop had his VL he modded a cable under the bonnet so he could remove it and the car wouldnt start

Get new locks for starters. Lots of immobilisers. Good alarm. Steering lock, Shifter lock... anything you can think of to slow a thief down
