i recently bought a ct,i was driven home from work, and wen i started to hit boost it would miss and run like ****,then i started it in the morning and black smoke and oil was coming from the exhaust,i found that the turbo has a fair bit of shaft play, and i also got code 34 knock sensor circuit.

Are you answering your own query? Cos I'm guessing your turbo could use a rebuild and knock sensor circuit could possibly mean its been pinging/detonating?

i was typing that in a hurry,i shouldve explained it a bit better. well ye the turbo does need a rebuild. and it means it either has been pinging or the sensor is ****ed,correct?where is the detonation sensor,i cant find the f_ck3r, but wats with the black smoke?u's think ive done the piston rings??

u sure the smoke was black. Black smoke is partially burnt fuel ie engine running rich. Blue smoke is burning oil.

For the black smoke part it sounds like leaky injectors dripping fuel into the manifold overnight and then you will get black smoke in the morning until it clears. As for the other stuff it sounds like oil getting past the turbo seals, then getting burnt in the combustion chamber and then the car will ping due to the lower octane rating of these fumes and then the knock sensor will retard the timing 5 degrees and give you a flat spot on acceleration. In my experience but once it logs the code the timing will retard once the throttle idle contacts are open which will make it bog down off the line but won't give you the missing under boost you're describing so check you're plugs/ plug gaps to make sure the spark isn't getting blown out by the higher combustion pressures under boost. The knock sensor is on the drivers side of the engine block above the engine mount, test with a multimeter to see if it has 5 volts at the connector hope this helps
