saw this car run tonight. Sounds good up top and comes home strong. Car completed 2 full passes hard on the throttle and best was a 9.3 @ 150 then a few throttling on and off ones of 9.5 - 9.6 passes.

Saw 36 psi on the dyno the other day!! Do you think that is a bit excessive for an engine with stock rods and cast pistons Anyway Mark is going to do a head for it the coming weeks, get it back together and go from there Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Far out, the Vls are having are coming out the woodwork again 150mph is tough as nails BIGPSI, on 36psi, do you program the boost to come on later so it doesn't hit the rod's as hard or was it a mistake?, whens fullboost? cheers darren Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Do you think that is a bit excessive for an engine with stock rods and cast pistons arent the heads same wether its a n/a or vl turbo head??? im slowly gathering parts for my engine and asked around heaps (not just Alan & Bill) even called holden and the corresponding part numbers are identical - only difference is the valve springs & cam shaft. true? Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Yeah they are the same All I was implying is that the head was off an NA VL and it was pretty average And I should have looked for something better Quote: Originally Posted by Jet R31 Far out, the Vls are having are coming out the woodwork again 150mph is tough as nails BIGPSI, on 36psi, do you program the boost to come on later so it doesn't hit the rod's as hard or was it a mistake?, whens fullboost? cheers darren We changed the turbo to a .84 rear with the .70 700hp front The rear housing is meant to be external wastegate But there is no wastegate So it will make whatever boost it makes Didn't get a chance to make any power cause of the head But with the new head and 36 psi i dont know how much power it will make Hopefully not to much if you know what i mean I guess ill find out in a couple of weeks Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
