16-08-06, 10:42 GMT+10#15 i tracked down the exact paint they used here in australia, got a couple of tins of "Sunburst Yellow" and am painting a test piece with it now. there's definately an art to it, i have started using a BRUSH instead of a roller now as it bubbles less. prep it well between lots of thin coats and it turns out quite nice. when it's got 6-8 coats on i'll buff it to hell and back and see if i can get uniform colour and shine out of it.
either way, i've got leftover paint so i'll be doing my daily when i have a week spare.

16-08-06, 17:39 GMT+10#16 doing a job like this sounds interesting, he said he did not use primer because of the elements in the paint, i'd say its deff a better idea to use a self based primer.
but all worth a shot hey.... let me know if anyone is going to give it a go. and keep us updated with pics

05-09-08, 16:12 GMT+10#20 I painted my kb26 rodeo with a roller & white enamel paint. It turned out pretty good, I started to use a soft roller & it was hard to get it smooth.. upgraded to a smaller & harder one & layed it on and it didnt fade or allow any rust to come through int he whole time I had it. His guide says to thin it alot more which I didnt probably do enough. Its pretty glossy stuff too.
And if anyone decides to spray there car with enamel using a gun just watch the overspray.. mask everything up around the car also because it is really thick in the air and sticks like crazy.
