Im after a website that specialises in heavily modified older style cars... www.uniquecarsales.com.au (http://www.uniquecarsales.com.au) is the only one Ive sorta used... Looking for cars like Valiants with 440's in them, Big block chevs, cars with 6/71's superchargers etc etc ...... You know the old school cars with a heap of motor hanging out the bonnet, or just big big motors in them.... Looking for a sunday & race car.... (Must be street registered) If you blokes know of any good sites please let me know.

I've seen thousands of blown chevs in Unique cars. If I was in the market for a blown chev that's exactly where I would be looking. As for a 440 Valiant, you would be hardpressed to find an already rebuilt car. Valiants are expensive to do up. Parts are often rare and super expensive when you come across them. You would most likely have to build your own 440 powered Valiant as I have hardly seen any for sale in my life probably due to the fact that they are a tight squeeze in a Valiant engine bay and people would often opt for the 360 small block instead and stroke the mothers out of them. I've seen many Dodge/Plymouth 440 cars in Australia for sale if that's of interest as well.

I have seen a fair few 383 VC's, Chargers etc however as they seem to be a better fit. 440s are a physically bigger engine sideways and are a raised block. We were contemplating between a 440 and a 383 and decided that a 383 would be best for the VG.

most of the big block vals usually trade hands between enthusiasts and its only rarely that you do see them advertised. they are out there. trust me. the 440 and 383 block are essentially the same. the 383 is also an "RB" as well. the only to tell them apart is by the engine number. a 440 will have "440" in its number where a 383 wont. also the standard exhaust manifold on the 440 has "666" in its cast number as well. heh go figure. is your vg a coupe or a sedan?

Got mixed up. The width of each engine from the tip of each exhaust manifold is roughly 3", the 383 having more clearance, but with aftermarket extractors/custom of course that would change. It's a white coupe by the way.
