when i accelerate the car cuts in and out at certain rev ranges. My fuel pump is noisey so i think it might be that... can anyone help? I'm pritty sure it ant the CAS because i know wat they feel like when there stuffed as it has stuffed up 3 times already. It feels as if the car doesn't like to be in certain rev ranges. thats why i think it might be Lack of Fuel Pressure. has this happened to anyone??? I have recently put a cam, chip and Ported the heads. thus why i think it is lacking fuel.

yeh man could be ur CAS. try another dizzy and see if that helps

Might be a dirty fuel filter.

check the plug that goes into the cas and they can get pretty bad just fix the plug things with a small screwdriver and spray with wd40 or something simlair

Faulty Computer maybe?? Could be a possibility Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

have you had it tuned since putting in the cam and chip and head porting? could be a reason why its not running properly your stock fuel system will handle the mods you have done so u need a tune or your fuel system is playing up

How does it idle? Rough? wouldn't go forking out a heap on ur fuel system yet as it should be able to supply enough. I'd check out ur Plugs if u havn't changed them already, and that all Leads and properly hooked up and not earthing out anywhere best to check at night, even Injector plugs are all in..Ignition timing can also have a factor prob best just to go over everything...

ok ill check i got the computer tuned at chiptorque... its a new comp too... hope that isn't it It doesnt feel like the dizzy And yes it does run rough on idle and smells rich... but i think its coz of the cam and my gutted cat... wen i got it dynod they sed it is running bolk lean... too lean thats y i think its my fuel pump. Could it be my timing coz its pritty high.. like 21deg.

If your not using 98RON Vortex or Optimax fuel then your car will run like sh1t. When was the last time the fuel filter or even the fuel pumps were replaced?

I have the bigger cam and tune, headwork...... the fuel pumps have never been changed and the car seems like its backfiring at higher revs... the filter has been changed about 20k ago but i think i need to change the whole fuel system and even clean the tank... Wat do u reckon?

if you think the pump is screwed, then change it, or at least get the fuel pressure checked. change the fuel filter cos they are only a few bucks so whether the one in there is still good or not doesnt matter, just replace it to be sure. the timing sounds too advanced as well, especially if its running rich

it could be the timing as it is on 22deg. but im changing both fuel pumps today and fuel filter. ill tell ya how i go.. thanks...
