Well it's been a looooooong time coming, but I finally own a Walkinshaw I am lucky enough to also own one of if not the rarest Walkinshaw's ever made. The car has leather interior, sunroof, filled in C pillar moulds, velour headlining (inc sunvisors), electric mirrors, front drivers and passengers footwell lights, rear headrests, Larry Perkins EMS and engine upgrade, pump up rear suspension & bonnet struts (there is no evidence of it ever having a bonnet stay), Walkie rims & RE71 tyres (inc spare, which has only been on the rd once) Also came originally with Momo stars, but I didn't get them with the car. I will get a set though, as it came with them. The history of the car is that it was a special order for the director of a company, that did alot of promotional work for HSV back in 88. The guy who ordered it, wanted a walkinshaw, with leather interior, sunroof and EMS upgrade. I have a fax and letter between him, and HSV specifying this, which proves, that the work was carried out at HSV's nottinghill factory. He didn't care about the cost, and I hear that he paid close to $60,000 for it. He even asked for it to have build #369. Has all paper work, including log books etc.... When delivered, it came with the C pillars filled in, footwell lights, momos, electric mirrors, etc... The guy I bought it off, bought it back in 98, and it needed alot of work. He spent alot of time and money, bringing it up to scratch, and it won best factory Holden paint and a few other awards at a car show last year in Sydney. It is in very very good condition. So as far as I know, and can tell, it is the only Walkinshaw, to have leather interior, sunroof and the rest from the factory. There were no options for a walky, availible from thr factory. Sunroofs were a dealer option. Im over the moon with it, and can't wait to get it home to Perth It is in AWESOME condition. Has a few little things, but nothing inconsistant with a 18-19 year old car. Front seats have been re-trimmed in leather, engine was rebuilt about 3000kms ago, with a larry perkins kit, and the heads were ported and polished, engine bay was re-sprayed while the engine was out, new headlights, indicators, bolts were replaced with new ones, everything under the bonnet either replaced, or polished, undercarrige of the car is spotless. It just looks like it's brand new really. 83,000kms, so not exessive, but also not locked up and never driven. Aircon compressor and alternator have been rebuilt, as you can't get the originals anymore, new power steering pump and ignition module. Gearbox was rebuilt, and it very tight, gear changes are smooth as, and clutch is perfect. Very smooth to drive, original bilstien shocks are there, and on Friday had a complete service, with the rear bushes in the suspension all replaced. I've got WA plates for it.... WALLKY, as my last name is.... WALL!!! Overall, Im estatatic with the car. Dream come true! If you have ever seen this frame / block mount.... Well this is the actual car in that pic!!! BIG thanks, to John (Corsa), for picking me up, and running me around the last 2 days, and letting me stay at his place, Chester, for selling me the car, being such a good honest bloke, and making the whole transaction very easy. Jason, for putting me in touch with Chester, organizing dinner on Friday night, and trying to get as many walkys as he could get for the cruise on Sat. Unfortunately, the Sydney weather wasn't very accomodating, so alot of people (understandably) didn't want to bring their pride and joy out. Also thanks to everyone who came along, and said hi. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Daz I'm willing to bet it does still have the glass under there. There is no logical reason why it would have been removed as the material covering on the inside and the fibreglass panel outside wouldn't provide a good enough seal. Corsa
