Hey guys, I have a S1 calais, and am wanting to install some 6 inchs in the front doors. Now i know people say get VR/S door pods and put them in there, but 1.I dont wanna fork out money 2. my interior is the brownie/ tan colour, and im pretty sure door pods didnt come out that color 3.If i do paint them, i KNOW that they wil get scratched by my work boots etc etc. Now what im after is people opinions on wat they think about cuttin holes into the door trim and the exact postioning of it. (being pretty clean original trim) At the moment i have old VK map pockets which i have cut a semi-circle out of and badly mounted them in heh so i do have the original map pockets. I have 6 inch spacers already. Thank You Carl

I'm sure there'd be a way u could paint them up and give them a clear protective coat so u wouldn't feck em with ur boots. I reckon if you want to use spacers anyway, you should prob go for the pods.
