Mine sits pretty much exactly like that second pic. Clears everything fine but I'll let you know tomorrow if it scrubs or not.

Depends on your wheel/tyre setup as to how much rubbing you will get. If your going to lower it make sure you do it properly with stortened shocks and lowered springs otherwise it will ride like a piece of sh1t. If your on a budget get superlows with new shocks, should cost around $1,000 installed. If you want to go real low like mine you need $4,000 to do it properly http://www.calaisturbo.com.au/showthread.php?t=81620

U'll defietly need to roll those front guards...and take full lock turning slowly so it doesnt rip the lip out of the front guard...rear should be fine if the rims are the right offset.....

How wide are your rims and tyres and what the offset?

i have no idea on my offset aye, its got 235 40 R18 tyres :-P iv emailed magandturbo bout the offset. Yea i got hook ups at repco so can get gt gas shocks quite cheap and some random guy at a beaurepaires liked the look of my vl when i was getting a wheel alignment done and he said he will hook me up with kingsprings :-P will i really need both sets of shocks iv heard ya only need shorter front ones :-P....... not too worried if i do need the rear as well since i got quoted bout 150 for them..... i think :-P VLHERO, thats exactly the hight i want lol..... whats your set up? Kings Ultralows (KHFL-22SSL front, KHPR-20SL rear), Pedders GSR shocks all round (9750 front, 9094 rear). You'll need short stroke shocks both front and rear, but more the rear in order to keep the spring captured. The offset should be stamped into the back of a spoke on your rims. About 120mm at the lowest point (exhaust). Easily legal. Yeah ET42 is your offset, not sure how that will affect your lowering as it means the wheels are 7mm further inboard than mine (ET35). ET35 is the same as genuine Holden/HSV rims. BTW dont bother with GT Gas shocks, their a complete waste of time and money. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

hmmmmm ill see if my mate can get pedders gsr shocks instock then lol. are they usually more expencive than gt gases tho? so if its 7mm inboard would that mean it would be harder to rub the guards then???? :-P sweet as long as its higher than 100mm im happy :-)

My GSR's cost me $342 for the front inserts and $220 for the rear shocks. A bit expensive, but their the only shock that will handle such a high spring rate without going to adjuctables. I rang every shock manufacturer I could think of and was told by every single one that they couldnt offer me anything that would be suitable for my application. And thats coming from people who are supposed to try and sell me stuff! My GT Gas front struts lasted a mere 40,000 kays before collapsing due to being unsuitable for my old Superlows. The rears were simply too soft for my liking. Dont forget you'll also need an adjustable panhard rod if you havent already got one. 7mm inboard may well mean that the rims are 7mm further away from the outer guard, but also means that they are 7mm closer to the strut body in the front and the inner guard in the rear. The inner guard is where most people have problems with tyre scrubbage. I was a bit worried about getting pinged for the ride height before putting the springs in, but once I got it on the ground and measured it I was stoked with being well above legal ride height while still tucking the tyres nicely up behind the guards.
