Hey Guys. I am looking at putting a roll cage into my VLCT, and Im after some places people reccomend I take it to. I need a 6 point andra approved cage, that is obviously going to be of high quality both strength and looks as it will be a show car. Also, Im fitting a later model dash into it, would I be better off putting the dash in before getting the cage? Or get the cage put in and fit the dash in around it? Finally, whats everyones opinion with colour of the cage? Should I go the same colour as the car (unsure exactly yet), interior (butter tan leather and black), or just black and highlight it with the tan wrapped around the padding? Thanks Guys! Sean

why 6 point? how fast do you intend running? do the dash first , as you will probably need to cut and weld mounts etc here and there. paint it matt black , and maybe wrap the foam with the leather.

nah do dash last and fit it around the cage. also to put it in properly u need to remove your entire interior first .

Just done this in a mates car....... Dummy fit the dash first so you no it will fit..... Then remove all the interior and get your cage done...... Dont no if you need to go 6 point...... If you go 4 point with a side intrusion bar then there will be no need to run any part of the cage through your new dash...... But yeah if your set on going 6 point dummy fit the dash then pull it all out and get your cage done...... good luck......

Well im am looking (well more so hoping) at 10's... No faster as it will be manual. Will I need a 6 point for these times? Or is it based on MPH? So dash before or after?

my cage is 4 point with side intrusion, make sure who ever does it is using seamless pipe, as that is what is required, and some places (like who made mine) don't uses seamless pipe, which in effect makes my cage illegal under andra camms etc! have some pics if u are interested or want some ideas

Haha... My brain hurts. I also know about the side intrusion bar. How does it get welded in on the other side? Somewhere near the dash or something??? Any pics of this 4 point set-up would be good for me to get an idea.
