Mate, its gonna look the same as it did on vc vh and vk's. vh, vk also ran the backwards scoop which helped force the air in. if you note on the brock grp a vl's they changed the scoop and where the vl scoop pushed air down the back it pushed it into a black box and travelled through to the aircleaner (kinda like cold air induction) thus elimintaing the cold air tray. I think theyre a great idea though and strongly reccomend putting one on. I was going to but as things go shes injected now.

To my knowledge the Vk cold air tray will not fit the VL V8
it has somthing to do with the lower bonnet on the VL
Please correct me if i am wrong tho

The vk-vl is deffinetly different. The vl tray is shorter and lower as well.
I have seen plenty on vc-vh-vk but not the vl,
just want to see how other people have fitted them.

Interesting. When i was going to put one on mine i spoke to a guy who builds group A's (or should i say restores and modifies) for a living and he seemed to think it would fit without a problem. height shouldnt be a problem...its just a piece of fibreglass that sits between your carby and aircleaner. as for length though i hadnt assumed they would be different. your remembering here that the fan shroud has to be removed for these to fit, that they dont sit over the top? i imagine you do but im throwing everything in there. you may just have to buy one and modify it.
