Few questions, What type of under bonnet blower is going to sound very noisy (like a 6/71)? You can up the boost pressure by changing pulleys?

sorry lol. Yeah its running a V2 Vortech with forgies haltech puter and stuff.. ported heads, twin 3" system, 14psi.. Sounds farkin mental.. and if you ever want to go bigger, the V7 runs the same brackets and will support 1200hp! Im looking into a gilmer kit, cooler and methanol.. you cant mistake the blower for anything else.. I was movin mums VT calais in the garage and had the VS running, and I could easily hear the blower from inside the calais, cant explain the sound... and the zorst note... V8 supercar rumble Oh and Brett, CAPA do carby enclosure kits if you ever wanna run a vortech on a carby setup similar to Haddad style. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

No cooler atm, but she has low comp forgies in there.. no detonation as its got the market market puter in.. so wont detonate.. needless to say LOTS more power with a cooler and methanol and more tuning on the same boost level.. I'll get some pics. Yes I know it doesnt have a belt on it... its an old pic when it was getting installed.. I am looking into new inlet manifolds as we speak.

Just make sure u buy a nice thick cooler and the blower will really start making spastic power

yeah wont be going cheap on a cooler... eyeing off a rajab garrett core actually. Rob Vickery made an estimated 750 fly wheel horsepower, with the starr manifold.. so they are a good thing and with the longer based inlet runners they doesnt lose any bottom end pull. Power output atm is 420rwhp this will be nudging 500hp once I get the bits and pieces on and some 42lb green top injectors. The Vortech is loud enough to know ya got a blower.. but quiet enough the cops wont hassle you, but I wouldnt wanna be beside a cop at a set of lights.. lol. the gilmer belt system will make her whine something chronic lol.. no zero slippage.

How does tha manual box hold up?

The blokes are running 10s with em in the LS1s, so they cant be that bad.. pretty good box to use, no complaints. Buying a Exedy Heavy duty cushioned button clutch, been told it will support the power easily, and I was in a VLT in Sydney with something similar and it was awesome... I love the sixth gear..

just as long as you dont buy an Xtreme Ceramic plate cushion button clutch..

Hmm nah it was exedy, through VPW as they also stock Centreforce.

thats insane morgz.. i love it looks tuff!!! any chance of a video? :P my microtech is going in this week, been trying to hunt down some twin throttz but for the 5k price range they go for you can do so much more with a blower for bit more of the price.. my original plans were twin throttz by end of this yr if i found sum decent price and blower early/mid next yr.. would of loved to of had both but seriously considering just a blower love the sound/power and knowing its a 5 litre but still got bit of a turbo feel/sound so to speak.. dunno if its been covered, what price are you looking at and what parts do you need to upgrade to keep it running mint? my vnss already has head work, bored/honed, pistons/rods, ported heads, full exhuast/extractors, injectors, cam and my auto has been done, very hard shifting car goes nowhere on 15's and even 18's arent any better they barely hold it straight and ofcorse microtech goes in this week.. again plans were twin throtts AND a blower but for the price of twin throttz maybe they can go on also down the track..
