I am not a genius at mechincs but I was thinking of putting a 350 Chev into my VL Calias, would this be possible.

Castlemaine Rod Shop make kits for Commodores to drop a chev in. What i have heard from a few ppl who have done it, is because the whole subframe drops down abit, the steering geometry goes out. Again, this may not happen to everyone, but from what ive been told, the handling suffers abit.
But with the price of holden strokers so cheap, i would personally just stick with a holden. just my opinion though

Its best to ask around and see what other people say, maybe the guys i spoke too didnt pay much attention in doing their suspension.

ya reckon??? holden 355 crank $1350 chev factory 350 crank $299 !
but yeah the money saved on the crank goes out the window for the chev conversion.. still though they have far better aftermarket products, different, e.t.c.... if u can fit a 350 then u can fit an ls1, go the later!

Yea, i meant the overall costs of dropping a chev in. If a chev was already in it, you're right, its alot cheaper to build
