Petrol = Black Smoke
Oil = Blue Smoke
Trans Fluid = White Smoke
Coolant = White Vapour (Steam)
so it only happens after it has been idling for a while and then you rev it?
Turn it on, leave it idling for a few mins then give it a rev and look out the back... smoke?
It's the valve stem seals mate... don't worry.. your engine is fine, it just makes the car look bad that's all.
If it's blowing smoke under heavy vacuum etc, THEN do a compression test.
yeah i agree its the valve stem seals. as you sit there and idle small amounts of oil leak through them into your bore and as you accelerate the oil thats accumulated gets blown out the exhaust.
does this happen when you start the car as well?
Also check out your AFM - if your car is blowing a little out the ass tube of your car - it can also blow a heap of **** out the exhaust and cause your car to run like ****
Thats just another thing to have a look at
yeah it does it on start up aswell, but worse on take off, i got the timing put back to normal, because it was addv, and it ran even worse, so i put it back to addv again and it ran fine.i think the cam timing is out or somethn. how long would it take to do the valve stem seals?????
