No, your car is a rolling shell with an RB302JZ sitting in the engine bay. Hopefully some day SOON it will grow up to be a big strong finished RB302jz VL.
ANd just to clarify what is confusing one or 2 particular homo's, all 3 street classes from street to pro street allow any mods of the factory suspension you like. This includes boxed and adjustable control arms and additional plating or strengthing of the mounting points. It doesn't however allow moving the mounting points, additional traction bars such as 4 link or ladder bars, and at this stage coil over suspension. Fitment of a 9" diff is fine as long as it keeps the same factory mounting points, as you can get billet 35 spline axles and full spool for the stock diff anyway, and I can't ever seeing any of the 3 street classes every needing lower tdiff gears than the 4.11's avaliable for the BW diff.

The 8.5" tyre is going to be the limiting factor in how much power these guys put down, and it won't matter if the guy next to you in a DOHC is packin 500rwkw instead of 400, lets see them put it down the track in a faster time , not mph, especially with stock suspension arms and geometry
As for the coil over thing, QWIKVL has run a 9.01@158mph with no coil overs and he built the car himself in the garage at home, I'm sure this is within the scope of any workshop to achieve then yeah??

that is a massive achievment, but dont you think the car would be a little more stable and secure with a properly sorted suspension? and if he was to sort the suspension properly then imagine what the car would be capable of achieving. lets see who can raise the bar the furthest!

Asked John this morning and Pannic doesn't run coil overs either. So the 2 fastest in australia don't have coil overs. They are't any more a "street" item than mini tubs. In fact I'd say a LOT more cars in the country have mini tubs with no coil overs(not talking VL's here), and that prob a lot of home fabricaters could make their own mini tubs, but not many set up coil overs. Also allowing them will mean the only thing separating them from the comp mod class is a set of mini tubs and larger tyre. Like I said in the other thread, I don't know if you know of a car that has them that you'd like to fit into the class, I personally don't, my argument is only my opinion. If you allow coil overs, you should allow mini tubs, neither is any more "street" than the other.

Looks good Steve, I added my only 1/4 mile timesheet from 2002 I think that clear images of timesheets need to be added for times to stay on the board otherwise it will be a bit inaccurate. Keep up the good work!
Cheers,
Oliver.

31-07-06, 20:40 GMT+10#10 Alright guy's and girls.. Due to popular demand we are opening the classes to any RB bottom end and head combo...
Also slight changes in 1 of the classes..
3. PRO STREET- cars must run standard rear inner wheel tubbs and outer guards and open to any tyre size that when fitted doesn't protrude past outer guard lip, addition of coil overs permitted, must retain factory control arm mounting points but adjustable or boxed arms accepted , must run rb series block, open to all head/turbo/fuel combinations. Interior trim removal and lightweight racing seats permissible. * Nitrous must be noted

a) untill we get enough manuals in the ladder they will just be bolded so they stand out.. when we have enough we'll make a different list.
b) your on your own with that one don't want to scare the nation...
EDIT:
a few more slight changes made. Class's flow chart added. And fixed the "sort" tool that wouldn't work in IE.. you can now sort the users part of the ladder.
If you use Firefox you won't notice a difference
And remember guy's the bottom ladder is open to everyone.. You can enter your car from your UserCP (http://www.calaisturbo.com.au/profile.php?do=edittimeslip)

14-08-06, 19:09 GMT+10#13 this is a great idea,
not sure about the class rules, not very clear.
so "street" class can run a stripped out vl, single seat, lexan windows, fibreglass panels etc etc. but the next class up (super street) can't?
I don't care myself but i thought theres a lot of rules left out in the different classes. Unless you have designed it all around maximum tyre size/type??
heaps of thanks anyway for the CT drag list.

14-08-06, 19:50 GMT+10#14 No all street class's must maintain full interior unless otherwise specified..
Class Street is exactly what it means.. street.. i know we didn't specify the interior must be in it, i might add it in the the flow chart tommorow and edit the various class's around the site.
Steve.
