Holley lovers shouldnt be knocked my experience with rochesters is if you spend the money on them and get them all blueprinted etc is they are one of the best carbys you can have...just it costs a few hundred dollars to do this. When i put a 600 holley vac on my car instead of the old rochester i had increased horsepower and much, much better fuel economy. thats why i made this as a suggestion.

He allready has a Rochester.
For the same few hundreds he would spend buying a Holly, Adaptor plate (if needed)
He could have, as you said - one of the best carbys

27-07-06, 09:14 GMT+10#10 I'm still running a quady on mine. I had rebuilt by a guy in Melbourne a few years back now and I could not have been happier. No more flat spot's, Very responsive and I still retain the original pollution gear. I have ran an 11.2 on the quarter with a little gas with this carby.
I can't remember his name but I do have his number [phone removed]. We was taught buy a guy he used to work with and rebuilt quady's for NASCAR racers for many years and certainly know his stuff.

30-07-06, 13:35 GMT+10#12 Whats the difference between stages 1,2,3? I dealt with Neil many years ago and I found him to be ok. I would really like to get mine sorted out as i know the history of my carby and i dont really like c/o as you tend to inherit other people's problems. Another problem i've found you tend to get with carby joints (and every other industry) is alot of parts these days i find are mass produced in Asian countries and dont last like they used to, or the chances of getting a dud one are higher. I supposed this is due to turn over and profit margins.
