hey guys the auto gearbox in my vl is in poor condition and slips very badly when cold, but gets better when its warm. i have been told it needs a rebuild but i dont relly have the money to do that. anyways, my question is, how difficult is it to fit an auto box from an na into a vlt? also, i spoke to a mate and they recommend taking the valve body out of the vlt box and putting it into the na one to increase its strenght and ultimately its life span. so has anyone done this or think its a good idea? any help or thoughts are appreciated cheers. edit: the car is stock as a rock with stock boost so i wont be needing a stronger auto

It is no more difficult to fit a non-turbo box than it is to fit a turbo box. The autos are physically the same size. I have no comment on the valve body suggestion, because I don't know.

really shouldnt be any different at all... Has to be the same to suit the same motor... So pull old box out, put new one in same way it came out...
