Its nearly time again for our Cruise to Calais Estate. Details for the 2006 cruise are as follows. Destination : Calais Estate Winery, Pokolbin NSW. Date : Sunday September 3rd 2006. Cost : Free. Food : BYO sausages, steaks or whatever you want to cook on the BBQ for lunch, and dont forget your cooking utensils!!! Drinks : BYO beer, spirits, or soft drinks for the drivers, wine can be purchased at the cellar door. The layout for the day will be the same as it has been in the past, Newy people can meet up on the foreshore, then head over to Wallsend where we can all fuel up and meet up with the Sydney guys and girls. Parking at the Shell's will be easiest along the straight down towards the link road roundabout, so after you have fuel park out along the road. From there we will head to Calais Estate for some photos on the hill and a BBQ Lunch, then we will then head into Newcastle Foreshore for the afternoon. The lunch arrangements are a BBQ at Calais Estate, you need to bring your own meat, snacks, drinks, cooking utensils etc. Wine can be tasted and purchased at calais estate, along with merchandise. Thought we where in the august already... ill give it all i got!, im hoping ill be there. last years was tops, so im pretty keen to get the car up and running.
